Improving Employee Work Habits
A Management Course
Helping employees to succeed can be challenging—especially at first. When an employee’s work performance falls short or their behavior is inappropriate, it’s up to you to give feedback, coaching and support. In an average month how much time do you spend dealing with work habits/performance situations? Include the time spent “putting out fires;” thinking about the situation; listening to employees, customers, or up-line management complain about it; covering for the employee or group deficiencies, etc.
The purpose of this workshop is to assist you in the processes necessary in evaluating and improving employee work habits/performance.
Learning Objectives:
- Encourage employees to acknowledge and take responsibility for performance gaps and poor work habits, commit to improvement, execute an improvement plan, and track their progress
- Communicate confidence in an employee’s or team’s ability to improve
- Prepare for and conduct successful improvement discussions using newly learned skills and tools
- Handle improvement challenges, such as denial, resistance, and reluctance to take accountability for improvement
