Communication Power

Utilizing Styles and Effective Communication Techniques to Influence and Persuade

Any time we correspond with another person, whether through conversation, voicemail, email, or letter we are in essence working to persuade them to our way of thinking and believing. The act of reaching out to people to connect is in itself an act of persuasion.

Successful people are very good at connecting with others and persuading them to see things from their point of view. What is their secret to getting others to listen to them and consider their viewpoints as worthwhile? We know that successful people leave little to chance. Instead, to become a successful persuader, you must work at it, think about it, try new things, and become to see these skills as part of who you are.

Research has proven that some words are considered trigger words, while other words soothe. Trigger words create an unpleasant reaction when communicating with someone who is already frustrated or angry, while soothing words calm the upset and frustrated.

This program will explore the skills and techniques that make people successful as influencers, persuaders, and effective communicators.
